What it is

B12 as an at-home self-injection program.

The at-home version of the classic B12 shot: dose on your own schedule instead of booking a clinic visit each time.

B12 shots are one of the longest-standing wellness injections in the country. This program is for adults who want B12 in their routine but prefer the convenience of dosing at home. B12 is offered as sustained energy support.

A licensed provider in the Qualiphy network reviews you by video and decides whether the program is clinically appropriate. If approved, compounded B12 and your supplies ship from a licensed compounding pharmacy to your home.

The injection is small and quick: sub-1mL volume, smaller than a flu shot needle, and most clients describe it as a brief pinch. Want a fuller blend? The in-clinic IV drips at our South Hills studio pair B12 with other vitamins, minerals, and amino acids in one session.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

What is the B12 Self-Injection Program?
It is a telehealth-led program that brings B12 (methylcobalamin or hydroxocobalamin) into the home as a self-administered injection. You complete an intake, a licensed provider in the Qualiphy network reviews it, and if approved, compounded B12 and supplies are shipped to your home. You self-inject at home with written and video guidance.
Who is this program for?
Adults who want sustained energy support as part of a long-term wellness routine, frequent travelers who cannot keep a regular in-clinic schedule, and existing clients who like the simplicity and low cost of an at-home B12 routine. It is not a fit for everyone. The provider declines applicants when self-administration is not appropriate.
Is it really a small needle?
Yes. B12 self-injection uses a small short-needle syringe, smaller than a flu shot needle, with a sub-1mL volume. The injection is faster and more comfortable than a typical IV insertion. Most clients describe it as a quick pinch.
How does the consultation work?
You submit the lead form on this page. Our team reviews your information and, if it looks like a fit, sends you a Qualiphy intake link. You complete a video-based Good Faith Exam with a licensed provider in the Qualiphy network. The provider reviews your medical history and decides whether the program is appropriate.
Is approval guaranteed?
No. The licensed provider conducting your intake decides whether the program is clinically appropriate based on your history, current medications, and goals. Approval is not guaranteed. If declined, you will not be charged for medication or shipping.
What does the program include?
If approved, the program includes the telehealth provider review, compounded B12 from a licensed compounding pharmacy, the injection supplies you need at home (syringes, alcohol prep, sharps container), and shipping. Follow-up cadence is set by the provider based on your protocol. Weekly is typical.
How is B12 administered at home?
B12 is given as a small short-needle injection. Depending on what the provider recommends, this is either subcutaneous (under-the-skin) or intramuscular. Both routes are well-tolerated and faster than the in-clinic IV format. You receive written and video instructions before your first injection.
What if I am not approved?
If the provider declines, you are not charged for the medication or shipping. Our team will let you know and, if you are local to Pittsburgh, can discuss whether one of our other wellness options is a better fit. Many clients who are not candidates for at-home self-injection are still candidates for in-clinic care.
