How we keep your visit safe
Signature Vitality operates as a clinic-grade IV wellness studio. Every visit is administered by a Pennsylvania-licensed Registered Nurse and conducted under the oversight of a licensed supervising physician.
What we commit to, every visit.
The short version of how we keep your visit safe. Each commitment below is detailed further down the page.
Who administers your IV
Every IV is started and monitored by a Pennsylvania-licensed Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience. Our nurses are not wellness technicians or medical assistants. They hold active RN licenses issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and have worked in clinical settings including hospitals, critical care, and emergency environments before joining Signature Vitality.
That background matters in practice. The skills built over years in clinical settings include:
- Vein access and IV placement
- Rate titration through the infusion
- Real-time assessment of how you are tolerating the drip
- The judgment to slow or stop when something is not right
Your nurse performs a health review and vital signs check before every infusion, not as a formality, but as the starting point for safe administration.
You will never be attended to by an unsupervised unlicensed staff member. If a nurse is unavailable, the appointment does not proceed.
Supervising medical provider
Signature Vitality operates under the oversight of a Pennsylvania-licensed physician. Our supervising medical provider reviews our intake protocols, reviews relevant client health history when indicated, signs off on the standing orders under which nurses administer IV therapy, and is available for clinical consultation when questions arise.
Nurses at Signature Vitality work within those standing orders. Standing orders define the specific formulations, dose ranges, and administration parameters that a nurse may carry out without a real-time physician order for each individual case. This is the standard legal and clinical structure for nurse-administered IV therapy in Pennsylvania, and it is the structure we operate under.
We do not publish the name of our supervising physician on this page. Inquiries about our medical oversight structure for professional or licensing purposes can be directed to the studio via the contact information at the bottom of this page.
Intake and screening
Before your first visit, we ask for basic health information. Your nurse reviews it before the infusion begins, not after you are already seated. We ask about:
- Current medications
- Known drug or food allergies
- Recent procedures or surgeries
- Pregnancy or nursing status, where applicable
- Any recent diagnoses or ongoing conditions
In some situations we ask you to consult your own physician before booking or returning, and we may ask for written clearance. These include:
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Active kidney disease or significantly impaired kidney function
- Congestive heart failure or a recent cardiac event
- Any condition where additional IV fluid volume could carry meaningful risk
There are also circumstances where we will decline to administer. Absolute contraindications include known allergy to an ingredient in the formulation, active signs of a condition requiring emergency evaluation, and presentations where the nurse's clinical assessment indicates the visit is not safe to proceed. We would rather reschedule than proceed when something is not right.
Telehealth clearance for specific services. NAD+ infusions, peptide therapy, and weight-management medications require an annual telehealth screening through our medical partner Qualiphy. The fee is a flat $30 per year and keeps you cleared for those services for the full year. Your nurse walks you through the screening at intake. You don't need to figure it out before booking, and you only do it once a year regardless of how many of those services you use.
Sanitation and sterile supplies
These are not aspirational standards. They are the baseline expected of any clinical setting, and they apply to every visit:
- IV catheters, tubing, needles, alcohol swabs, and IV bags are single-use, opened fresh for each client, and never reused
- Sharps are disposed of in designated containers following Pennsylvania Department of Health medical waste regulations
- Recliner chairs, arm rests, and all contact surfaces are disinfected between clients using hospital-grade disinfectant
- Your nurse washes hands and applies gloves before any contact with your skin or IV supplies
Privacy and health records
We store your visit history, intake health-history answers, and payment receipts. Health records are held in an encrypted database on a HIPAA-aware vendor stack. We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose your health information to third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide care (for example, calling EMS in an emergency).
You can access a summary of your visit history through your client portal. If you request a copy of your records or request deletion, contact the studio directly. We retain clinical records for the period required under Pennsylvania law and then dispose of them securely. Payment data is handled by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
Our full privacy policy is available at signaturevitality.net/privacy-policy.
When IV therapy is not the right tool
We are a wellness studio, not an emergency medical service. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room, and do not book an IV session as a substitute for emergency care, if you have any symptom that suggests an urgent medical need:
- High fever
- Chest pain or shortness of breath
- Severe dehydration with altered mental status
- Neurological symptoms such as sudden numbness or vision changes
- Anything that feels like a medical emergency
For ongoing medical questions, management of diagnosed conditions, or symptoms that are new and unexplained, we will refer you to your primary care physician. Our nurses can note concerns that come up during an intake conversation and encourage you to follow up with your provider, but they cannot diagnose, prescribe, or substitute for your physician relationship.
Adverse reaction handling
During every infusion your nurse monitors for the most common reactions associated with IV therapy:
- Vasovagal responses (lightheadedness, nausea, or near-fainting, typically triggered by anxiety or needle aversion)
- Infiltration (IV fluid going outside the vein, causing local swelling or discomfort)
- Allergic-type reactions (flushing, hives, or, rarely, more serious systemic responses)
- Rate-related discomfort (warmth, chest tightness, or cramping with faster NAD+ infusions), managed by adjusting the drip rate
Our response protocol at the first sign of a concerning reaction:
- Stop or slow the infusion immediately
- Provide supportive care (positioning, oxygen, oral fluids as appropriate)
- Call EMS if the response does not resolve quickly or the nurse assesses an urgent risk
Any adverse event is documented in your chart. We do not minimize or omit incident documentation.
If you have a concern after leaving, such as site pain, swelling, unexpected symptoms, or anything that felt off, reach out to us:

Insurance and out-of-pocket cost
IV wellness therapy is typically an out-of-pocket expense. We do not bill insurance for our services, and insurance coverage of elective wellness IV therapy is generally not available. We accept HSA and FSA cards at point of sale. Those cards work like a debit card and you do not need to submit a claim to use them here.
All receipts are itemized and available through your client portal or on request. If you need a Letter of Medical Necessity for a qualifying condition to support an HSA or FSA reimbursement claim with your plan administrator, ask your nurse at your visit. We can generate one upon request for eligible situations. Acceptance of an LMN by your plan administrator depends on your specific plan and is not guaranteed.
